Giulia Faria, dancer
Giulia Faria, originally from Woodside, Queens, studied Cecchetti technique at the New York Theatre Ballet school. Giulia joined the New York Theatre Ballet company in 2017, where she has done on to perform a variety of masterworks including Merce Cunningham’s Scramble, Jerome Robert’s Rondo, José Limón’s Mazurkas, and works by Pam Tanowitz, James Whiteside, and Richard Alston. In 2021, Giulia premiered Julian Donahue’s “Displacement” in New York Theatre Ballet’s Lift Lab Live performance series and has been working with him since by appearing in festivals such as Battery Dance Festival in the summer of 2023. Giulia attended Laguardia Performing Arts High School and is currently getting a degree in nutrition science.
